Clean Beauty 101 // Treat

Ahhh Face Masks ... they are so fun, and they also play an important role in dealing with all types of skin issues, from dry to oily to acne prone and everything in between. Even if you have great skin (lucky you) having a mask on hand for those moments when you are a little stressed or your skin feels dull.

// 2 Types of Masks //

Wet + Dry Clay Masks

The use of clay for soothing and healing the skin dates back to ancient history, as far back as ancient Rome! Considering the earth is made up of largely minerals - which is what clay is made up of, it isn't surprising to find out it has amazing skin benefits too. It's ability to draw out toxins from the skin while also leaving healthy minerals that your skin can absorb is where clay really shines.

Gel + Cream Masks

We often call them 'wet masks' and they usually have a soothing and cooling sensation upon contact, great for brightening dull dry skin and calming irritated acne prone skin. Infused with aloe and essential botanicals, these masks are fantastic for a variety of skin types.

// How Often Should You Mask? //

The simple answer is: it depends. We always recommend that you mask at least once a week, but if you are dealing with an acute issue or your skin is calling out for some extra TLC, we think it's totally fine to double down on your mask. They are the perfect maintenance treatment in between visits to your facialist.
